When you first bring a baby home, especially if it's your first, you are very gentle and do everything slow and steady because you don't want to do anything that could hurt her. As time goes on they get bigger and stronger and you realize that babies are more durable than you thought. Kira was born at 5 lbs. 14 oz. and was 18 and 3/4 inches long so she was pretty small. Since then she has grown a lot but her Grandpa can't seem to stop thinking that he might break her. He is so worried about it that he usually doesn't hold her or holds her for a short amount of time because he gets so anxious. He always says, "I'll just hold her when she gets older. She's so small, I don't want to accidentally do something." I think it's really cute that he rather observe her than hold her out of fear that he might break her.
